Fuel tanks can either be a massive issue or absolutely no concern, our experience has shown us that no matter what issue may arise regarding a fuel tank the tank will need to be emptied and only sometimes removed from a boat.

Uncommon issues to arise could be things such as leaks caused by corrosion, bad fittings, leaking fittings, blocked pick up tubes from fuel bug and debris such as rust on steel tanks etc.

Fortunately most tanks are aluminum and allot of the time stainless steel, when we start to look into poly tanks and steel tanks we start to see allot of issues. Our tank upgrades will never resort back to using these materials in any circumstance.

If an aluminum and stainless tank is correctly bonded to the boats earthing system, protected by a correctly sized anode and void of any moisture both inside or outside, these tanks will last the life of the boat which makes them the highest quality option.

If you are combating corrosion issues we have corrosion specialists at the ready to come and perform tests to solve the issue, if the tank is too far gone we specialise in tank removal and replacement on any vessel.

Don’t let issues like this run away, let’s tackle them before major damage occurs and save some money, if your concerned about oxidizing or something else that looks out of the normal please call us for a second opinion.
